Katy Steele graduated from Elon University in December of 2014. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications as a journalism major and a double minor in Spanish and international studies.
Katy learned the in’s and out’s of a newsroom interning as a reporter at The Dayton Daily News, and has worked as a copy editor at Elon’s student paper The Pendulum. She became passionate about videography working as a video intern at Sharp Top Cove Young Life Camp. She gained editorial, design and social media management experience at The Upper Room in Nashville, Tennessee with devozine youth magazine, and is one of the magazine’s regularly published writers. She enjoys combining her love for social justice and writing as the blog manager for Clothe Your Neighbor As Yourself.
Katy is most interested in combining her passion for media, including writing, videography and design, with her passion for helping people and community development and advocacy.
